A view from the rough

All the beds are prepped for flowers. Install should be this week.
The Veranda lawn will feature a new teeing ground I put in just for fun. Sod will be here tomorrow. Talk about a 🐕 🦵!
These white dashes all over the course are marking our trouble spots. This past summer we did a lot of soil mapping with GPS technology so that we can track all of these trouble spots and know exactly where to treat with a little bit of extra tender loving care when needed. This way we are not guessing, we know exactly where to use our resources. The goal is uniformity…. That takes a lot of individualized care.
Turf uniformity is 💯 dependent on soil conditions, so you’ll see this sprayer out a lot (or maybe you won’t if you play in the afternoon) applying those special amendments. Some things we spray make water wetter, some help move sodium through the soil so it doesn’t negatively affect the grass, some are just soluble fertilizers.
All the pine straw is down. It will lay down and stop hiding balls this week, especially after that rain yesterday.
There’s a last minute sod strip that had to be repaired across the front of 12 green approach. Play it as G.U.R. until it heals in.
Harley hopes everyone is being safe and can’t wait to see you around the course.
