Hi Billy,
We are battling Lance up here in the north. What Chitin product are you using? We used ChitoGuard from Ocean Organic this year and we had a very good year.
I put out Indemnify and Divanem, tank mixed together in May and June and September and October. In July and August, we just do Divanem. These are all spaced out every four weeks. We add Heritage Action and one of the big three pythium products (Segway, Banol, or Serata), plus a penetrant (Floratine’s Pervade) and Harrell’s Earth Max. I think we both have a similar approach which is to protect and enhance the roots as much as possible because the current nematicides can’t really do the job on their own. We tested the new Syngenta product too and can’t wait for that to come out. Since that too is an SDHI, I plan to replace Indemnify with that product, eventually. Also, we hand-water these sprays in with a nice shower nozzle to insure that every inch is getting washed into the rootzone. I never fully trust the sprinklers as much as I trust my guys that hand-water for us.
We make soil applications every two weeks. In the two-week cycle that we do not include a nematicide, we use Maxtima and one of the big three pythium products mentioned above (rotated, of course).
I think your videos are great. Although we grow different turf, in different areas, I think we both can help each other.
Jim
It’s been a crazy 2.5 yrs since rebuild. $8 mil reconstruction and we went from having nematode problems everywhere but the greens to having no nematode problems except for the greens. We curfewed the grns, spraying divanem, are putting out nimetz now and anything else we can throw at it. The new syngenta product will be good addition to arsenal.
We are doing basically the same stuff. Good souls grow good roots!
I never told you what we are using for bacteria… it’s called Poly-P from New Gen Ag. Dr Jacoby’s co. And all the other stuff you
Mentioned too.
Sorry for delay
