A view from the rough… cart paths and valves boxes

There are a couple places around the golf course you are going to see these new plants in the waste areas. These plants are to divert traffic around valve boxes and electrical splice boxes.
The round top is for an isolation valve. More importantly, the larger rectangular box is an electrical splice box for the irrigation control system that has the splices mounted to the bottom of the lid. As the carts occasionally run over these boxes, the vibration is causing connection problems and I lose communication from the irrigation central computer to the individual sprinkler heads.
This is the nervous system for water control. Beneath those lids are wires that connect every sprinkler head’s network I.D. card to the irrigation control system. All those splices are critical to turn heads on and off at the right time, one bad connection disables 100’s of heads.

A view from the rough… taking a peek around

I post a lot of stuff on the blog to keep everyone informed on what we are struggling with. The intent is always to keep the membership informed so nobody is surprised when they come out. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a whole lot to be proud of! The beauty of the course is sometimes overshadowed by my messages…

So I thought I would post some drone shots from this afternoon and show off your course a lil bit.
