Greens are on the mend ❤️🩹. The aerification process lends itself to a lot of rutting. So we heavy roll them many different directions to smooth the surface again. The trouble spots in the fairways had compost spread over them to aid in soil building. For the last 5 yrs my team has been working on building a better soil ecology to help the plant outgrow any problems, instead of spraying more chemistry. Clubhouse lawn is greening up after being scalped down. The sod fields are mowed around 3/4” and I want the lawn maintained at our tee height of 3/8”. This area next to 6 green is getting cleared in preparation for 1 of 2 new irrigation wells. I am drilling this well now so we won’t have any delays next summer when the range / 6 green area is having a lot of work done and it’s hard to get the driller to the site. The other well will be located somewhere around the middle of the current 18th green. I thought best to wait on that one 😬!50 HP motors for the new wells. I’ve got about 90% of the new irrigation system already sitting in my shop. In case you’ve been wondering where Harley has been, this is the sort of pics my wife sends me. Harley is 3 now, or as we say at home, “a lazy teenager.” She would much rather go back to bed than go work with me these days.
